Clearing consultation hour of the Student Advisory Service
Starting 08-14-2025, the Student Advisory Services (ZSB) will be offering a new weekly clearing consultation hour. This offer is aimed at students who need special support in balancing their studies and personal challenges. Family or care responsibilities, health problems or special challenges in everyday life – but also an unexpected crisis – can be reasons to visit our consultation hours.
What exactly is it about?
In the clearing consultation hour, we look together at how students can better balance studying and their current life situation. We offer students an overview of their individual options and possible next steps. This can be done, for example, by providing information on flexibility options and compensation for disadvantages at KIT, help with study planning, targeted advice or referral to suitable contact points.
Who is the consultation hour for?
The consultation hour is for all students who have more to cope with and manage than their current studies and would like to know how to organize their everyday life as a student. It is an offer for initial orientation and clarification of your options.

Do students have to make an appointment?
No, an appointment is not necessary. Those you cannot or do not want to come in person, can reach our Infopoint at 0721 - 608 44930 and request a callback. Of course, everything will be treated confidentially.
