Application and admission
During the winter term 2021/22, KIT hopes to conduct as many lectures and courses in person on campus and thus revert to normal university life as best as possible. This requires a mix of in person, hybrid an online courses. You will find out how this realized in your study program either during the "O-Phase" (orientation week) or directly from your department.
There will be no "online guarantee" for the winter term which means courses that have started online may revert to in person during the course of the semester.
In order to take part in courses in person, a "3G-Nachweis" will be necessary (vaccinated, recovered or tested). Those not fully vaccinated will need to be provide a negative Corona test regularly. These tests will no longer be offered for free starting in October. Contrary to how it is handled in schools, the KIT will NOT provide these tests free of charge. We strongly recommend you get vaccinated before the start of the semester in order to protect yourself and others against the Coronavirus.
