Qualifikationsziele
Graduates of the Master Programme Energy Technologies (ENTECH) at KIT are able to contribute independently to value-added processes in the field of energy technologies. In addition, their research-oriented education allows them to contribute to scientific research.
Because of their broad and in-depth knowledge of engineering fundamentals, both in mechanical engineering as well as in the field of electrical and process engineering, graduates are able to deal with the state of research and to develop further the methods. They are able to develop, evaluate and interpret interdisciplinary simulation studies. They are able to develop products in energy engineering based on an understanding of the market requirements and the value-added processes. The methods and procedures that are used can be reflected and adapted to changing conditions in order to optimize the used approaches.
Due to the broad knowledge and the detailed skills acquired in their chosen specializations in energy engineering, graduates are qualified to play an important role in complex research- and development projects. They are also qualified to contribute in innovation processes and are professionally qualified for leading positions in the future.
Furthermore, graduates are able to make decisions based on careful consideration of social, economic and ethnic boundary conditions.
Graduates are qualified to analyze and synthesize complex systems and processes of energy technologies and are able to methodologically develop, reflect, evaluate and design them independently and sustainably while considering technical, social, economic and ethnic boundary conditions. They are able to deal constructively with their own as well as someone else’s views, and present their work results in an understandable way.
Graduates from the Master Programme have the ability to identify tasks, to find the information needed to find solutions, to choose methods and acquire abilities independently to contribute to the value creation.
