Regular program length of 2 years leading to a "Master of Science (M.Sc.)" degree; 120 credit points (corresponding to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System - ECTS) must be completed. Individual prorgram length may differ from regular program length.
Program structure
The master's degree program has a regular progam length of four semester. One semester is dedicated to the master's thesis. After graduation (degree Master of Science), one can continue post-graduate studies and a PhD should coursework and achievements be graded above average.

Qualification profile of the graduate
The master’s degree program serves to further enhance or complement the scientific qualifications acquired during bachelor’s studies. The graduates are able to independently apply scientific findings and methods and to assess their significance and scope for the solution of complex scientific and social problems.

Proof of eligibility for this degree program is an above-average bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology or in a related field which contains the following:
- Mathematics I and II, which contain complex analysis and integral transforms
- System dynamics and control systems engineering
- Signals and systems
- Physics I and II or alternaticely technical mechanics I to III
- Linear electrical networks
- Electronic circuits
- Electric fields and waves
- Internship in the field of electrical engineering
- Digital technology
- Information technology
- Internship in the field of information technology
A maximum of three of above-mentioned coursework may be missing and must, if required, be completed in the master's program. Are there more applicants then study places, a ranking list will be formed according to completed coursework and additional curricular, extra-curricular and vocational achievements.
German language skills for international applicants
In order to enroll in a degree program taught in German, international applicants need to proof sufficient knowledge of the German language. Proof of minimum B1-level is necessary for application. All certificates are accepted, certificate of attendance of a B1-level course is sufficient. For enrollment, proof of DSH2 or one of its recognized equivalents has to be submitted. Additional information is provided by the International Students Office.
